Our choir
Our choir started, in 2007 and since then it has grown in numbers and reputation. We currently have approximately 45 regular choir members.
Anyone can join! We have two 'taster days' each year - one in January/February and one in August/September - where we start to learn the songs we will perform that term, to share food and get to know each other.
Our choir members come from across the region and we always welcome new and returning members.
Our concerts
Our concert programmes are put together in collaboration with choir members and our Musical Director. They often follow a theme, such as hope and justice, connection and separation, and nature. We also take part in community events and festivals. We use a core theme and the music, song and spoken work weave together seamlessly making a unique experience for everyone involved. We sometimes commission songs and other inputs to our larger scale projects from D&G-based composers, installation artists, writers, poets and others.
